Custom Enclosure Design and Electronics Repackaging for Broadcast Equipment
Exhibition deadline met, high specifications delivered on time & within budget. Production orders scheduled.
The brief
ANR were approached by an existing broadcast communications customer, and were tasked with repackaging an existing product with added functionality. One constraint was the existing internal electronics.
The story
We used 3D models of the electronics to model a new case to surround them, with all the ancillary fixings and brackets. Cooling needed to be taken into account as well as environmental concerns.
After initial modelling these were sent to the customer to comment on and review. Our customer liked the models, but decided on further enhancements until a final design was agreed.
An exhibition deadline was approaching, so once the final design was approved, all parts were manufactured using our Solid Cam® software so that it eased the manufacturing to make sure that the deadline was met.
All components within the final assembly were finished to a complete resale finish standard utilising high quality Anodising.
This fast turnaround, from design support, re-packaging, modeling, manufacturing and third party surface finishes resulted in customer orders and subsequent new production orders for ANR.
